MHM Presentation – Unique Education System, Abbottabad

#SocietyForYouth organized its 3rd  #YouthMenstrualHealth2022 Campaign session at Unique Education System, in Abbottabad. 40 female students from 7-10th grades participated actively in the session. 

The session raised awareness about individual responsibility in properly managing menstrual health. It focused on discussing the myths associated with #menstrualHealth and shared important factual information on #menstrualhealth. The conversation was focused on highlighting authentic hygienic practices and discouraging unhygienic practices. As well as the various sustainable ways of handling menstruation to not only promote long term better health outcomes but also consciousness around environmental effects of menstrual health.

The #YouthMenstrualHealth2022 Campaign aims to challenge popular myths and taboos around menstrual health in Pakistan. SFY seeks to foster valuable and authentic awareness within cultural and religious frameworks. And aims to build social webs of self-care and safe spaces to continue these conversations.
