MHM Presentation – Al Hamad School, Abbottabad.
Society For Youth organized its 4th #YouthMenstrualHealth2022 Campaign session at Al Hamad School, in Abbottabad. 30 female students from 7-10th grades attended the session with much zeal. The session focused on educating students on the significance of correct and proper menstrual health care. It highlighted the hazards of lack of attention to proper menstrual health management. And informed the students about various medical risks that improper handling can lead to. The session also facilitated a conversation on the environmental effects of menstrual health care. And how greater responsibility can inform better health outcomes not only for females but the larger community as well.
The #YouthMenstrualHealth2022 is an initiative aimed at fostering grassroots leadership growth. And founding safe spaces that are inclusive and highlight not only menstrual health but other challenges that women face. #SocietyForYouth seeks to provide opportunities of grassroots leadership to young female leaders and support their conviction of sustainable change in Pakistan.
Thank you to Principals like Madam Nasreen Bano from Al-Hamad School for their constant support of SFY’s efforts. We are also grateful to SFY leaders, Sana Ahmed and Zainab Humayun, for continuous grassroots leadership in facilitating these critical conversations.
