MHM Presentations – Little Angel School, and Alhuda Foundation, Abbottabad
#SocietyForYouth is happy to share about 2 more #YouthMenstrualHealth2022 Campaign sessions at The Little Angel School, and Alhuda International Welfare Foundation, Nawansher Branch, in Abbottabad, held on the 24th. The sessions focused different age groups of young females from both of these institutions. The conversations informed the participants about the larger need of better menstrual health care, highlighting professionally recommended, safe, and healthy practices for menstrual care. SFY leaders also educated our young participants on the popular myths in contrast to factual knowledge around #menstrualhealth. And how to overcome challenges and difficulties raised by menstrual health in their personal lives.
#SocietyForYouth seeks to not only democratize access to education on sensitive topics in Pakistan. But also work through acceptable cultural and religious entry points to foster deeper conviction of change around these topics. We are very intentional in our approach of inclusivity of communities that have been on the periphery of knowledge structures. And seek to institutionalize leadership discourses within these neglected communities.
