When periods will be perceived positively and normal part of life only then we can put an end to stigmatization of periods. In many parts of society, periods are associated with shame and embarrassment. Such stigma asserts itself in numerous ways where women start to resent their menstrual cycle and women hood.

Therefore, resulting in stress, myths, unhygienic practices and women not sharing and getting medical assistance related to period problems.

SFY is creating environment where it is safe to communicate your Menstrual health and hygiene needs unapologetically and openly. Such spaces are essential as they promote safe, healthy and positive discussion around Menstrual Health. We’re educating girls on shame free, hygienic menstruation and breaking the cycle of fear and misinformation about periods.

Principal Ma’am Fouzia Inayat added that ”Menstruation is a gift as it allows us to give birth to new life and reminds us of our great feminine abilities.This is what transforms us into woman.”
