The workshops highlighted several mechanisms and strategies to adapt to the modern willpower challenges that students face. They also facilitated discussions on leadership values and students’ personal challenges in view of the Flight-Fight and Pause and Plan response. Students learned about the role the negative role that stress plays in exacerbating willpower challenges; eventually sabotaging leadership journeys and development goals. They also identified the need to incorporate some of the willpower strategies discussed in the workshops as important and valuable. Students reflected on and discussed the importance of stress management, breathing, sleeping and exercising, and their role in strengthening willpower.

Students were also excited to be introduced to the concept of organizing. They identified several issues in their communities and how organizing concepts could be a helpful and strategic tool in solving them. The workshop also introduced students to the difference between organizing and mobilizing and facilitated a discussion on different dimensions of institutional leadership.
