Afghan TV Official hosted its annual award ceremony in Peshawar. Several leaders from a number of non-governmental organizations and leaders from civil society attended the event. The event was organized to appreciate and recognize the efforts of national NGOs for their work and impact. We are very happy and humbled to share that Society for Youth received an award in the category of Social Work.

The gathering appreciated the impact of the #YouthFloodRelief. Society For Youth organized the #YouthFloodRelief project in response to urgent needs caused due to the flood disaster in the latter half of 2022. SFY served a total of 372 meals, distributed a total of 720 pairs of clothes, and provided 960 menstrual health kits to women displaced by the flood. In addition, SFY also partnered with Parvaaz Relief Foundation ( formerly: Pukhtoon Relief Foundation ) to organize 3 medical camps that served the medical needs of the affected population. SFY leaders Owais Khan, Ahmad Alam, Armaghan Ahmad, and Ibrahim Khan received the award on behalf of Society For Youth.

SFY would like to thank Afghan TV and CEO Afghan TV Mr. Adnan Shah for nominating, acknowledging, and awarding SFY from among several other organizations. On this occasion, we also want to celebrate the immense support and encouragement we have received from our donors, local leaders, and volunteers. Lastly, SFY would not have been where it is today if it were not for the collective contributions that all the local partners have made.
