Menstruation, despite being a natural and essential biological process for women is subject to stigma. Lack of access to proper menstrual hygiene products and information can lead to serious health issues and hinder the education and development of girls.

#SocietyForYouth through its #40in4Campaign ,is striving to break the taboo around menstruation and is empowering girls with the knowledge and resources to manage their menstrual hygiene effectively.

#YouthMenstrualHealth session covered various topics related to menstruation, including the menstrual cycle, menstrual hygiene products, and the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene.

The session began with an open discussion where students were encouraged to share their experiences and concerns related to menstruation. Then they were provided with detailed factual information on the hygienic practices that are imperative to one’s health.

MHM is a crucial issue that needs to be addressed to promote the health and well-being of girls. The #YouthMenstrualHealth Session in the schools is great step in the right direction towards promoting education on MHM.
