Story of a School Girl #40in4Campaign #LIMEPAKISTAN
A young girl in 8th grade from the government school in the village of ‘Pholan Bnadi’ talked about the pressing issue of inadequate washroom facilities for girls in her school. She highlighted the numerous challenges that she and her fellow female students face during their menstrual cycles. Due to the lack of proper facilities, they are often sent back to home when they are unable to change their sanitary pads. This unfortunate practice has led to a significant increase in absenteeism among menstruating girls in their school, ultimately impeding their educational progress.
