#LIMEPAKISTAN – Marsary Grammar School Islamabad

Society for youth organized another one-day training at Marsary Grammar School Islamabad, which served teachers from diverse academic backgrounds.
During the LIME Workshop, various topics related to puberty and its symptoms were discussed, including diseases such as PCOS and anemia. Participants also learned about methods for menstrual health care and were educated on different types of sustainable menstrual products available, along with their respective pros and cons.
Several activities and case studies were conducted during the session to foster an open discussion among participants about menstrual education. This included and covered many activities like Making puberty easier for young friends, myths and facts, cultural taboos, and Improving MHHM at your school. Participants critically reflected on Participants also discussed sustainable and climate-friendly best practices vis a vis menstrual healthcare. Participants not only received reusable Safepad sanitary products, but also discussed the implications of sustainable products, and the risks of lack of infrastructure to process menstrual healthcare waste.
Special thanks to all the teachers participating and the principal; the facilitators, Arooj and Laiba, for their professional support during the workshop. Our combined efforts are stepping ahead towards bringing more awareness to a better support system for befitting menstrual health education.
