#LIMEPAKISTAN – MM Schooling System, Nowshera
Society For Youth is making important progress on the #LIMEPakistan Project. We arranged another one-day training session in Risalpur, Mardan which served 30 teachers of MM Schooling System (Girl’s Campus).
In this one-day training, teachers discussed societal restrictions regarding menstruation and how these restrictions affect their daily lives. The training session facilitated an open discussion where participants discussed cultural myths and taboos, and how they can make menstruation easier for younger girls, especially students in the classrooms.
Teachers participated in various activities and case studies aimed at enhancing the learning experience and encouraging innovative thinking around student education vis a vis MHM. These activities helped them identify misconceptions surrounding menstruation, gaps in MHM education, lack of MHM infrastructure at schools, and effective remedies that can address these issues effectively.
Additionally, teachers also received Safepad products which also emphasize SFY’s focus on not only MHM education. But sustainable products that effectively reduce MHM waste and makes menstruation climate friendly.
