Society For Youth organized the first workshop of the #YouthPeaceInitiative focused on Religion and PeaceBuilding, at the IT Trainers Institute in Mardan. The workshop introduced students to Peace Building, and its 3 concepts of peace, conflict and violence, different conflict dynamics, and the markers, drivers and issues of conflict. Students learned about facets of peace: negative and positive peace, and discussed causes and types of violence. The workshop highlighted the need to understand individual, institutional and structural types of violence and the main aspects of peace-building in response to them. Students learned about and also discussed the Seville Statement on Violence as well as reflected on the qualities of a peace builder.
