#YouthPeaceInitiative – PAK School and College
#YouthPeaceInitiative : Society For Youth arranged 2 Workshops at PAK School and College Mardan on “What is Organizing” and “Youth Leadership Development “. 29 students of grade 12 from Pak American as well as the Success School System participated in the workshops focused on teaching students about organizing and leadership. The workshops provided students with in-depth knowledge of the art and practice of Organizing as well as leadership development principles. Students got exposed to the broader ideas of Organizing, Power, and how to Bring Community change through Organizing.
Students began by identifying key problems in their lives and the broader issues in the communities they come from. The workshops focused on not only situating oneself in the broader community but also understanding how we can analyze and respond to community issues through building people’s power, utilize organizing as a vehicle and leadership principles as guiding tools to enact change.
Students were also encouraged to develop their personal leadership journal and identify values and guiding principles that will inform their leadership journey. The session also dived into understanding what Deeper Self Awareness is, how one can be an agent of change, and also deal with root causes of public issues.
