#YouthPeaceInitiative – Nahl School and College and Defense College for Girls, in Mardan
#YouthPeaceInitiative: Society for Youth organized 2 more workshops on “What is Organizing” and “Impactful and Effective Leadership” with 1st and 2nd-year students at Nahl School and College and Defense College for Girls, in Mardan
. Approximately 75 students from both colleges participated in the workshop.
The first workshop highlighted the need for and importance of organizing. Students discussed various strategies they could adopt to organize around issues of concern. They also reflected on different dimensions of organizer-institutional relationships. Students identified several problems, from academia to social life, that impacts their lives and discussed the different value sets that can inform organizing priorities.

Furthermore, the 2nd workshop highlighted three themes; What Willpower is, the leadership of an Ultimate Goal, and Contagious Quality Leadership, as part of a vibrant leadership journey. Students were encouraged to develop their leadership journals, identify their willpower challenges, and practice deeper self-awareness.
They also reflected on how dopamine influences our choices and the role that the promise of reward plays in our leadership journey as well as individual growth. Students learned about the influence that a social network has over an individual. And how quality leadership can be a contagious process facilitating impact and goal contagion.

SFY is thankful to Principal Sir Pir Azam of Defence College of Girls and Principal Sir Shamshaad and Sir Shahzeb of NAHL School and College, Mardan for their facilitation and constant support throughout the workshop. We also thank ICRD for their help and support of the #YPI22_23.
