Whispers of Womanhood #40in4Campaign #LIMEPAKISTAN

In a highly regarded private school, a student bravely confided in us about her confusion and lack of understanding when she experienced her first period. Unfortunately, her attempt to seek guidance from a teacher was met with scolding and public discussion of her unpreparedness in front of other students in different classes. She expressed deep embarrassment as she recounted how the girls ridiculed her. To this day, the memory of this incident weighs heavily on her, causing her significant emotional distress. It reinforces the urgent need for schools to foster an inclusive and compassionate environment where menstruation is openly discussed and supportive measures are in place to assist girls during such significant moments in their lives.
