What is LIMEPAKISTAN?

The Leadership in Menstrual Education program (#LIMEPakistan) is a comprehensive initiative that addresses the lack of awareness, period poverty, and unsupportive school environments surrounding menstrual health in Pakistan. Through the training of 1000 teachers from several dozen educational institutions, enabling access to affordable menstrual health management products, and women's leadership development, the project seeks to empower women and girls, challenge social norms, and create a supportive ecosystem that prioritizes menstrual health as a fundamental aspect of overall well-being. By fostering change at the individual, community, and systemic levels, the program aims to create a lasting impact on menstrual health education and women empowerment in Pakistan.

Where?

SFY is set to conduct training sessions across multiple cities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, aiming to train 1,000 teachers in Mardan, Charsadda, and Nowshera initially, followed by Swabi and Abbottabad. The objective is to enhance the capacity of teachers, enabling them to openly address menstrual issues and health-related concerns. The mission is to equip teachers with the knowledge to provide information and raise awareness among girls, facilitating a smoother journey for them.
