During the session, girls gained knowledge on puberty and menstrual health. The session’s goals were to raise adolescent girls’ understanding of menstrual hygiene and to educate them about reusable, ecologically friendly sanitary products.

The lesson taught the girls how to handle their periods with comfort and dignity. And made factual information on menstrual health accessible so that girls are not the targets of stigma and myths. The students were encouraged to talk about the difficulties they encountered on a daily basis and the stigma around menstruation. These difficulties resulted from specific myths and females’ hesitation to talk about menstrual abnormalities and issues.
